Privacy & cookies
Last updated 5 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data GreekOnion collects, why, and your choices. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, for visitors in the EU and UK, the GDPR.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and your password, stored only in scrambled (hashed) form that nobody can read.
- Subscription: your plan status, renewal date and payment references from Paystack. We never receive or store card numbers.
- Email choices: which emails you asked for, and when and where you agreed.
- Agreement: when you accepted our terms.
- Technical data: basic server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) kept for security and fixing problems.
Why we use it
To run your account and subscription, unlock what you've paid for, send only the emails you chose, keep the service secure, and meet legal and accounting duties.
Who we share it with
- Paystack, to take and manage payments.
- Cloudflare, which protects and delivers the website and forwards our support email.
- Our hosting provider, where the website and database run.
We don't sell your data and we don't show ads. The AI that analyses matches only receives football statistics, never your personal data.
Cookies
We only use cookies that the site needs to work: go_s keeps you logged in (up to 60 days). We use no advertising or tracking cookies, so there's nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes, we'll ask for your permission first.
How long we keep it
Account data stays while your account exists. Payment records are kept as long as accounting law requires. Logs are kept for a short time. Email choices are kept until you unsubscribe or delete your account.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, withdraw consent, or object to how we use it. Unsubscribe from any email with the link inside it, or change your choices on your account page. For anything else, email [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Age
GreekOnion is only for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change, and tell subscribers if a change is important.
